Orion's Network Memory products provide a simple, fast and cost-effective way of sharing data between computer systems with essentially no software overhead. Data is automatically transferred to other nodes in the network simply by writing to on-board SDRAM. With Orion's Network Memory, every computer in the network has a local copy of data that is updated in a real-time and deterministic manner. OTI's network memory is designed for real-time applications such as simulation and training, industrial automation, robotics, process control, telemetry and data acquisition.

Orion's series 9035 Network Memory family allows a computer to communicate with other computer systems using a high-speed, fiber-optic, shared memory architecture. Network memory provides a fast and cost-effective way of sharing data between computer systems with essentially no software overhead. Data is automatically transferred to all other nodes in the network by simply writing to on-board SDRAM. The series 9035 product line supports PCI, PMC, CPCI and VME platforms.

Orion's Network Memory is flexible, easy to use and offers a variety of standard features. Each node's memory and IO control registers are accessible by any other node on the network via Point-to-Point transfers. Programmable interrupts may be used to synchronize a system process, report an error condition or signal updated data. Free drivers along with start-up source code examples simplify and expedite system development.
